Many of us like things that explode especially during New Year but definitely not on any part of our body. Atlanta news station WSB-TV reported that a man claimed his iPod nano exploded in his pants. Danny Williams from Douglasville, who is working at a kiosk in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, said that he was at work when he suddenly looked down and saw flames came up to his chest. He believed a glossy piece of paper in his pocket shielded him from the exploding iPod that left a hole in his pants. Good for him, airport police did not see him smoking or they would have thought he was a terrorist. Experts believe that the fire have originated from the lithium ion battery inside, similar to the ones recalled for setting laptops on fire.
However, the explosion that brought down Glorietta 2 last October 19 is no laughing stock. GMA News reported that it left 11 people dead and more than a hundred injured. Many were quick to speculate that a terrorist must had blown the mall up and no less than a Senator pointed at the government as the crooked culprit. The police said that they found traces of RDX, a primary component of a C4 bomb. However, days after, they were saying that C4 might have not caused the explosion but the CR (comfort room) methane gas leak from faulty sewage pipes mixed with diesel fumes might have caused the big explosion.
People will be waiting for the result of the police investigation. Read my Yahoo! 360° for more...
