Pet enthusiasts: on the picture is the Chaco Golden Knee Tarantula (Grammostola aureostriata). Experts consider it as one of the larger species of tarantula as it grows up to 22 cm (or 8.5 inches). It tends to be one of the more docile species and therefore makes an attractive pet. The Chaco looks flashy. It bears long light-colored hair all over its body and gold stripes on its legs, particularly at the knees.
It looks like a pretty, peaceful little creature but for someone who has arachnophobia, it is still a monster!
