Since the fame of the cartoon character Peter Parker, aka: Spiderman, many children must have thought of intentionally getting bitten by a spider so that they could become Spiderman! However, of course, the entire Spiderman story is a kid’s tale; totally untrue but the news of spider bites are far from fiction.
While I was browsing the net looking for spiders, I came across this website: http://www.spiderzrule.com/ which promote more awareness about spiders. In one of their articles, stories of allegedly, spider bites were posted. I clicked one of the links which directed me to an article about an alleged a Brown Recluse bite on a person’s thumb. Try to observe these pictures:

I never thought that a spider bite can look this gory! Well, our bodies react to toxin or venom differently in each individual. Some exhibit severe effects after a bite while there are none in others. I am really glad that there are no Brown Recluse spiders here where I am. Whew! Whew again!
