Civil Protest in Egypt Continues; Mubarak Wanes

It’s frustrating when a political figure stays when the constituents want him out. What kind of service can he give if the majority of the people do not recognize his leadership anymore? He will only become a lame duck president to the detriment of the nation and its people!

President Hosni Mubarak addressed his people and reiterated that he would not step down from power until the presidential elections in September this year, although he would delegate some of his powers to Vice President Omar Suleiman.

The vice president in turn asked the people for support.

This latest development remains unacceptable for the protesters in Tahrir Square. I guess, it’s going to be a matter of survival of the fittest.
