“Good Friday” the Movie from Mars Hill Church

I have read a Tweet from Holypop, about a movie, which Mars Hill Church has made available to different churches free to download in time for Good Friday reflection yesterday. It is a 30-minute film about the passion, suffering and death of Christ.

We all remember the film “The Passion of Christ” by actor and film director Mel Gibson. Film critics have considered it as very violent as it has tried to give a realistic portrayal of the biblical events.

You can download this new film “Good Friday” from their website whokilledgod.com free. You just need to create an account to download. In their website, there is a warning, which says that the film is very graphic and is not suitable for children 10 year old and below.

Perhaps, it intends to present a film that is as close to reality as possible. The events that have transpired on the first Good Friday is indeed very gory and bloody, more than what we can think and imagine.

The Mars Hill Church holds a “funeral-like service” every Good Friday to remember the death of the Lord Jesus Christ.
