THE PARALYMPIC ATTITUDE
On one occasion, a reporter asked the chairperson of the international Paralympics games if there was anything in particular about the competitions that he could never forget. The chairperson said he could never forget the 200M-dash. When all the participating athletes ran with all their heart, one of them fell down. Amazingly, all the rest of the athletes stopped running and went back to help the fallen athlete. Then they all ran toward the finish line with their arms around each other and finished the race all at the same time.
Sometimes, those whom we consider as persons with undeveloped mental faculties show pure love more than those whom we call normal people. It is one of life’s complex idiosyncrasies.
