Getting Back Up: Nick Vujicic

A facebook friend posted a video on my wall. She said, "If you haven't seen this video, watch it, sobrang mata-touch ka (it will touch your heart), promise!" I felt curious about it so I clicked the link right away. It led to Kevin Sanders' (a campus minister), blog site and the video is embedded on one of his previous blogs. I clicked the video and I saw Nick Vujicic, a man without arms and legs speaking before a group of students. He spoke about falling down. He used his own body to demonstrate it, he dropped himself face down. He tried to be comic about it at first but his message was far more than just serious. It was moving and inspiring. He spoke about getting back up after a fall and not give up trying to get up in spite of repeated failures. He spoke about finishing strong in spite of tragic circumstances. He is an amazing man with an amazing heart.

In life, there are times when we fall down and its utterly unavoidable. However, there are instances that it seems so hard to get back up. It's impossible... What do we do then? Shall we give up?
Will giving up lift us up? No, it won't. Nick is right, we need to try and try without counting the cost. It is the only way we can taste sweet success.

Nick Vujicic is 26 years old and was born without arms or legs although doctors have no medical explanation for his physical condition. However, God has shaped him with strength through unimaginable hardships to overcome what other people see as a hopeless situation. Nick says, "Along with that, the Lord has placed within me an unquenchable passion to share this same hope and genuine love that I've personally experienced with more than two million people all over the globe".

You can visit Nick Vujicic official website to see how God uses him to bring hope to millions of people.
