Here’s another reason to be proud to be a Filipino. One of ours has won the title in the Ford Supermodel of the World 2011 in New York City: Miss Danica Flores Magpantay. She has won $250,000 modeling contract.
I’ve learned that she is a 17 year old Fine Arts student at the University of the Philippines, one of the prestigious universities here in the Philippines. At a very young age, she has achieved sweet success in the field of modeling. Of course, it must have been an uphill climb too for the young and beauteous Filipina but it is all worth the effort and hardship.
I’m trying to look for her picture to complement this post but I can’t see a nice one until I’ve come across this nice blog by beauty queen, Miss Joyce Ann Burton Titular: Adventures of a Beauty Queen. She has posted a story about how she has learned about Danica’s victory in New York with a photo of herself and Danica together. I guess, it would be cool to link this post to it.
