Mayweather Jr demands $100M to fight Pacquiao

"Last week, the 8-time world champion Pacquiao said that a fight against Mayweather may take place on November. The possibility would always be there as long as Mayweather Jr is not afraid to fight the Pinoy fighter but it seems that he really is. He is just trying to conceal that by demanding something Top Rank couldn’t provide.

Bob Arum, Top Rank CEO, was shocked when the camp of former pound-for-pound king laid out their demands for the said bout.

“Take a guess at the number he asked for himself. 100 million (dollars) for himself. Who’s going to pay him 100 million? I mean, unless Manny fights for nothing,” Arum said."

It sounds so absurd if not ridiculous. I'm quite irritated by this development. The Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is a war that many boxing fans around the world are looking forward to see. I do not know why Mayweather is so demanding when it comes to meeting Pacquiao on the ring. He doesn't seem to do that against any other boxer. He feels that he's so important. I hope the fight pushes through so we'll see who's going to kiss the canvass.
