Unconfirmed Reports of Steve Jobs’ Death Tops Trending in Tweeter

There has been an admitted error in tweeting about Steve Job’s death. It seems that someone has tweeted a rumor and thousands of others re-tweeted the rumor. It has caused much attention from tweeters and followers but it is definitely not a very nice tweet for Steve Jobs and his family. 

There have been news that he is sick. Perhaps, the chain of tweets comes out of genuine concern of those who are following his career however, this is one incident where we can underscore the value of confirming raw information first before escalating it in social media.

It must have caused serious alarm to Steve Jobs’ friends and family. Anyways, what’s done is done and we cannot revert it back. This should be another lesson learned for all internet users.
