Lea Salonga is one of the most admired Filipino who has made it big in the field of entertainment in England and America. She has become a singing icon since she has starred in “Miss Saigon” in London. She has conquered the Broadway in New York as well as she starred in “Les Miserable” and “The Flower Drum Song”.
She has received awards from Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Theatre World awards. Her life has been the dream of many Filipina singers who are starting their career in entertainment.
It is an honor for Filipinos that Lea Salonga is one of the judges in the upcoming Ms Universe Pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is another special occasion for a Filipno to leave a mark in big events like the Ms Universe. The crown has been very elusive to Filipina candidates the past many years but at least this time, a Filipina is one of those who will choose who deserves the prestigous crown of beauty and grace among the many beautiful and gorgeous ladies from around the globe.
The Ms Universe pageant will air on September 12, 2011.
