Analyzing My Blog Statistics

I have tried to analyze my stats for the past days and I have learned that my post The Royal Kiss at the Buckingham Palace has had the most number of views with 181 and the At the Royal Wedding has had 122 views and both have occurred in one day (April 29). I have had no idea that many people would be that interested to see the royal kiss.

Statcounter reveals that I have had 322 page loads on April 29, of which 244 are unique visitors. Over the past week, I have had an average of 130 unique visitors daily. I must admit that the average rate of bounces is high at 75% but I am happy that 25% stay longer. The challenge to me is how I can engage those visitors and keep them coming back. Over the past week, I have had 79 returning visitors.

According to my stats, the top referring sites to my blog are Google, Entrecard, and the LinkWithin widget.  So far, I have not started advertising in Adgitize although I am publishing Adgitize ads. According to Adgitize reports, since I have joined the Adgitize preferred publisher program last April 8, I have had 1,974 views and 252 clicks on the link, which are around 8 clicks per day.

I think the most important thing to remember for content creators is to have a content that is relevant to visitors, something that would tickle their interest and get a reaction out of them. Ad networks like Adgitize, CMF and others out there can only drive visitors to our blogs but they do not guarantee that they will read our posts. It is up to us now to consider how we are going to present our content and can keep them coming back.

  6. I used to be very conscious of my stats when I met bloggers who were so conscious also about stats....and then I realized it's just too stressful for me and I get easily disappointed if my PR goes down or when my Alexa rank goes down....until I realized it's not really worth it because that's not the reason why I am blogging. I also stopped my Entrecard because it's just so time consuming. I used to spend 2 to 3 hrs each day just to drop 300 blogs. And I also was advertising at Project Wonderful, and was a member of BlogCatalog. But BC was not like it used to be before, and I canceled also my account. The only advertising network I'm satisfied is Adgitize....I'd been advertising every month since it was introduced in November 2008. Yet I no longer get so conscious about rankings and statistics.
You're doing good...try Adgitize....I always recommend it because I'm so happy with it.

  7. @sir rob, thanks so much. I'm your frequent visitor too...

@bingkee, thanks too. You know, I agree with you. PR and Alexa is not the reason why we blog. We should not give too much bearing to them. The most important thing is that we enjoy what we do. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, they are important to me. Go bless!
