Internet Access: Basic Human Right- UN

The internet has begun between 1950 and 1960 when computers have started to be developed as a means of communication between mainframe computers and terminals and later on as means of data transmission between computers.

In the last ten years, the internet has developed drastically and has influenced culture and commerce largely and we can expect it to grow continuously, as internet users demand greater amounts of online information and knowledge, marketing and commerce, entertainment and social networking.

I wonder if the developer and inventor of the internet have envisioned it to grow this big. The United Nations has even declared internet access as a basic human right perhaps, in line with our freedom of speech and expression.

Below is a You Tube video of an animated presentation of the history of the internet. It is worth watching if you have time. At least, you will know more about the technology that gives life to blogs and websites.
