President Noynoy Aquino commends Janela Lelis, a twelve–year old girl from the province of Albay, who has shown patriotism when she has saved the Philippine flag from submerging into the rushing flood water as continuous rain ravage the province due to typhoon Kabayan.
It is very inspiring to see a twelve-year old girl giving such great value to her country’s flag. She has set personal safety aside just to keep the flag from submerging under water. She has held it so sacred that she will not let it fall down or touch the waters mixed with mud. She is an epitome of patriotism.
She deserves the government’s commendation and honor. I hope people will follow the example she has set. She is truly amazing!
